stinging nettles –

I discovered the stinging nettles in the backyard this spring. I waited to harvest them until some were flowering. After doing more research, I found that it's best to harvest them early in the spring when the leaves are new because the color extracted is more vibrant. Hopefully the patch will be large enough next spring so there are plenty to collect!
